Japan trip - Part 4

Log 4: June 19, 2011 ~ June 23, 2011:

Sunday, June 19, 2011:

Hey. You remember the Sham-Wow commercial with Vince Offer, right? I saw this one commercial… which was just like the mentioned one. It was advertising a… Sham-Wow like… cloth… thing. I mean, it was just like the Sham-Wow, but it wasn’t exactly the same. It was called the “Zor-beez.” Yeah. The name’s the only different thing. Aside from that, everything it supposedly does is just like the Sham-Wow. Only it was explained in Japanese. ¥4980 in Japan what would be $19.99 in America.

… What really made it funny was that, in the lower left corner, it said [Made in China]. I’m sure the guy said something along the lines of “This came from Germany; the Germans make good stuff. Everyone knows that”. Yeah. I didn’t see the first bit of the commercial. But because everything I saw seemed just like the Sham-Wow commercial with Vince Offer, I assume it’s just like it.

Oh. On this television show, they mentioned chain letters. They brought up how chain letters spread when there’s not much info during disastrous times and ways to tell if a letter is actually a chain letter or not. Of course, over in America, it’s more obvious: luck, wishes, time, contacts. Really, I think that’s to get addresses to send viruses or summat to. In Japan, it’s less obvious, but there’s a pattern. Like “I heard this from so-and-so” and “I hear (some treatment) works well” are signs of such.

Today’s another same old, same old sort of day for me. I got used to the schedule over here. It’s going to be hell when I get back… I’m probably going to stay up all night making a model kit the day I come back…

… or two model kits. Or three. Doesn’t really matter, though. I’ll be experiencing jet lag… for about a week once I come back. Though I don’t think that really matters either. I sleep late at night oftentimes… and besides, it’s summer. The season in which pulling off all nighters from playing video games and building 1/144 scale model kits is all right. The season in which eating cold noodles and swimming is just fine.

… Also, that Android commercial with segments of Lady Gaga’s “Judas” music video came up again. I’m not sure how that promotes Android phones… but yeah. Oh. Speaking of Lady Gaga, I’m going to be getting a T-shirt with a message from Lady Gaga to the distressed people in the northeastern region of Japan with her autograph on it. On the 25th. The day I return. It’s going to be a hectic day…

Well, because I don’t really have much to write today, I’ll just say this: I haven’t been in a bathtub in nearly a year, and does it feel good to be in one. It’ll probably be for another while until I sit in a bathtub again. I mean, yeah, there’s a bathtub back at home, but I don’t usually sit in it. And by “don’t usually”, I mean never, if not hardly ever.

Oh. Yeah, I nearly forgot. Pepsi Dry. It’s… Pepsi. That isn’t sweet. It’s basically a pretty dry (hence Pepsi Dry) bottle of Pepsi. It’s… an all right drink. I mean, a bottle of Pepsi without the sweetness isn’t really a bottle of Pepsi.

By the way, I’m watching TV again. Something about samurai movies. How to draw a katana, how to swing a katana, mastering arts… and such. One word: badass. Even though it’s for Taira dramas.

Well. Might buy a model kit later today. A Geara Zulu? Sazabi? Maybe Burning Gundam. Hm… maybe I’ll buy two. That’s all up to how much time I ha… oh, of course, I have the entire summer to practice, improve… etc.

And so, I bought a model kit. Not a Geara Zulu. Not Sazabi. Not Burning Gundam… as much as I wanted to. No, instead, I bought a MG Universal Century MSZ-010 ZZ Gundam. Because it’s awesome. Yeah. That’s about it.

Aside from a new model kit to take home, I really haven’t accomplished anything today.

Nothing accomplished today. Same old, same old. Wake up, play video games, eat, play more video games, bathe, sleep.

Wednesday, June 22, 2011:

… I think I lost all track of time. Great. Just great. I haven’t really accomplished anything today either. I don’t have much to say either.

Might go to the Kobe Zoo later… Not sure why.

Thursday, June 23, 2011:

Decided not to go to the zoo. So today was another same old, same old sort of day. Again.

I’ll try to look for a bus that runs past where I’m currently at. I mean, I’d like to go home now… oh god. Where’s home?

Okay, okay, okay. I mustn’t run away. I mustn’t run… okay, I got that, good. Now, if I were to run away, let’s analyze that. Where the hell would I go?

I’m in this suburban area in god-knows-where in Kobe. Okay, the day I get back sure better as hell make up for this. Because I’m stuck in nowhere land. And I ran out of things to write too. For now. Or rather, the rest of the trip…

Also, I really do want to construct my model kits… like, right now. I had this urge ever since I bought the Zeta Gundam one and it only got worse when I bought the Jegan and ZZ Gundam ones.
